A regional airport in Iqaluit is seeking an experienced Airport Building Maintainer. You will oversee maintenance for all airport structures, conduct inspections, and manage minor repairs. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and trade certification. The position requires physical capability to lift materials and may need relocation to Iqaluit. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation.
In partnership with Arctic Infrastructure Partners, Nunavut Airport Services Ltd. (NASL) provides airport management, operations, facility maintenance, and technical services for the Iqaluit International Airport.
This work is part of a 30-year Public-Private Partnership (P3) with the Government of Nunavut, under which Arctic Infrastructure Partners was contracted to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain the airport’s expansion and redevelopment.
While P3 projects are common internationally, this is Canada’s first and only completed airport P3. It’s also the first airport operation in the country to earn ISO 9001 Quality Management System accreditation.

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Airport Building Maintainer plays a key role in the upkeep and inspection of all airport buildings, including tenant spaces in the Air Terminal Building (ATB) and the Combined Services Building (CSB).
You will act as the go-to expert for everything related to the physical buildings—inside and out. You’ll lead ongoing inspections, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinate building projects and contractors when needed.
This full-time position will be stationed in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Candidates applying from other cities or provinces must be willing to relocate to Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada.
Condition of employment is the ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card (“RAIC”), D/A AVOP, and produce clear Criminal Record Checks
