Calgary Airports is seeking an airfield equipment operator to maintain runways and associated facilities. You will operate a range of equipment, perform routine maintenance, and help ensure safe, reliable airfield operations in varying weather conditions.

You must be able to obtain and maintain an AVOP/ROC‑A, hold a Class 3 driver’s licence with air brake, and be willing to work a 24/7 rotating schedule. Previous airport experience is highly valued.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement and a satisfactory driving record.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in airport or similar safety‑sensitive environment is preferred.
• Safety‑sensitive position; pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing required.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy, medium, and light‑duty equipment to maintain airside and groundside infrastructure year‑round.
• Perform manual labour and servicing tasks, including changing broom cores and plow blades.
• Pavement patching of airfield surfaces and related infrastructure.
• Maintain security fencing, gates, signage, and surfaces; ensure safe operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
