Position Overview

Calian is seeking a Aircraft Structures (ACS) Course Instructor to assist our client Department of National Defence with the facilitation of their project.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver curriculum for all training requirements
  • Provide all course training documentation, lesson plans and student assessments and evaluations to the Course Director
  • Perform Instructional duties
  • Prepare and maintain lesson plans
  • Maintain classrooms, laboratories and facilities in a clean and serviceable state
  • Acting as a SME as needed
Qualifications
Civilian-Trained Personnel
  • Graduation from an Aircraft Structures Technician program offered by a technical institute that is recognized by the Canadian Council for Aviation & Aerospace (CCAA) in the delivery of one or several accredited programs and three years of experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician in an aircraft maintenance organization
  • Graduation from a program offered by a technical institute that is recognized by Transport Canada (TC) as an Approved Training Organization and three years of experience as a registered Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (S rating) in an aircraft organization and at least one year of instructional experience in an adult education environment. Plus, one year f instructional experience and instructional support in an adult education environment
Canadian Forces Trained Personnel
  • Qualified ACS (or QL5 Tade Level for pre-1996 equivalent) and 1 year experience of Instructional experience in an adult education environment, plus one tear of instructional experience, instructional support or a mixture
Additional Requirements
  • An ACS Course Instructor must have knowledge of and ability to apply principles of training delivery, demonstrated through work experience in a training environment as an instructor where the resource prepared and delivered lessons in the context of aircraft maintenance
  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret Level
