Qualifications

Requirements
  • Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License required (M2 preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience and/or endorsed on Boeing 737 and/or 787 and/or Q400, or equivalent type of aircraft is preferred
  • Proven technical aptitude with strong airframe, powerplant, and flight control experience required
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada (must hold a Canadian Passport or Permanent Residency and/or open work permit with PR card in process)
  • Must be able to obtain Radio Licence within 6 months of employment
  • The physical ability to lift 62 lbs and be able to sit, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions including temperature extremes, confined spaces, working at heights and in a noisy workspace
  • Ability to maintain a positive fit test to wear all safety and protective equipment (but not limited to a respirator apparatus)
  • Flexibility to work shift work (night shifts, week ends and holidays) including overtime when necessary
  • Must be able to travel for situations where base coverage and/or rescue trips are required
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills using various Maintenance programs and Microsoft Office Applications
Conditions of Employment
  • Obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) issued by Transport Canada
  • Obtain and maintain Airside Vehicle Operators Permits (AVOP). Must have a valid Driver’s Licence and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Pre-employment assessment to measure physical ability and fit for position including audiometric testing
  • Clear police background and criminal record check
  • Offers of employment are conditional on passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test (including Alcohol, Psychoactive Substances, Illicit Drugs and Cannabis)
