Job summary

Cargojet is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician based in Ontario to perform structural repairs on sheet metal and composite components following MCM/MPM manuals. You will read engineering drawings, fabricate and fit parts, and ensure modifications on B757/B767 are performed to exacting standards, while maintaining safety and quality.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications

  • AME S Licence from Transport Canada.
  • Approved Composite Training Course.
  • 3 years’ experience on structure repairs on Transport Category Aircraft.
  • Able to pass practical test during recruitment process.
  • Type Rating or experience with B757, B767, B777.
  • Must obtain RAIC and AVOP.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Proficient with MS Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Repair aircraft structures on sheet metal and composite components.
  • Handle structural repairs and modifications on B757/B767 aircraft.
  • Read S.R.M., C.M.M, A.M.M and Engineering Drawings.
  • Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, including composite.
  • Plan, layout, assemble, and install sheet metal components from blueprints, verbal instructions, and sketches.
  • Fabricate, assemble, locate, and install sheet metal parts by forming, drilling, shaping, bending, cutting, riveting, filing, and dimpling.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned incidental to the work described herein.

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, Aircraft Structures, aircraft structural and composite repairs as requested ensuring duties are performed in accordance with Cargojet’s MCM & MPM manuals & technical documentation.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Aircraft structural repairs on sheet metal and composite components.
  • Responsible for all facets related to structural repairs and modification on B757, B767 aircraft.
  • Read the S.R.M., C.M.M, A.M.M and Engineering Drawings.
  • Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, including composite.
  • Plan, layout, assemble, and install sheet metal components working from blueprints, verbal instructions, and sketches.
  • Fabricate, assemble, locate, and install sheet metal parts and components by forming, drilling, shaping, bending, cutting, riveting, filing, and dimpling.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned incidental to the work described herein.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to use computers – MS Word & Excel.
