To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

  • Work on CL215/CL415 Water Bomber Aircraft and Commander 690’s
  • Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair an aircraft’s mechanical or structural systems.
  • Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted.
  • Carefully observe all procedures, rules and regulations when performing any task
  • Be thoroughly familiar with, and put to use, safety procedures and safe work practices.
  • Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for tasks/jobs.
  • Follow company tool control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and productive work area.
  • Work efficiently alone and as part of a team
  • Read, understand, and adhere to the: Safety & Health Policy Statement
  • Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual
  • Company Policies and Procedures
  • Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard, incident or accident.
  • Enter labor in the labor tracking system accurately for all tasks performed.
  • Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines.
  • Oct 1 to April 1 is Monday to Friday dayshift.
  • April 1 to Oct 1 is 2 weeks away from base 2 weeks off.
  • The schedule does vary slightly depending on operational requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
  • Must hold a valid M1 and/or M2 AME license.
  • Experience with CL-215/CL-415 aircraft is an asset.
  • Experience with Garrett Turbine powered aircraft is an asset.
  • Have demonstrated experience working on WinAir or other similar maintenance programs.
  • Have good organizational skills.
  • Are proficient in English, written and spoken.
  • Have the physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods.
  • Have the physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Have physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces.
  • The ability and willingness to work shift work.
  • Have ability to work at heights.
  • Be willing and able to travel for 4 weeks at a time.
  • You are eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC), AVOP and ITAR Clearance
  • Have or can obtain a Canadian passport.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
