Job summary

A regional airline in Canada is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics to maintain and inspect aircraft systems. You will be responsible for adhering to maintenance procedures, ensuring safety compliance, and attending to aircraft repairs in various locations. Candidates must possess a valid AME–E license and demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Qualifications

What You’ll Get to Do (Responsibilities)

Reporting directly to the Avionics Manager, and taking direction from the on‑shift Base Engineer and Crew Chief, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) maintains, services, inspects, tests, and undertakes fault diagnosis of airframe, engine (including propellers and rotors) and electrical systems, components, and accessories on aircraft. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) will also provide support to the maintenance department when needed.

  • Follow all procedures necessary for maintenance or repairs to the aircraft and equipment
  • Ensure all work carried out is properly documented in accordance with the Procedures manual
  • Provide the appropriate ACA release as required
  • Repair and calibrate Avionics components
  • Must always comply with all safety regulations
  • Maintain all Calm Air assigned training required within job role
  • Ensure that all items of work are listed, recorded, and signed out on the appropriate work card
  • Perform work procedures while ensuring that approved methods and materials are used in a safe, efficient, and economical manner
  • Travel to remote locations as needed to perform repairs in the field
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Hours of Work

Shift work is required and may include mornings/afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Skills & Experience We Value (Qualifications)

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualification

  • Preference given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
