Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Vancouver is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to ensure maintenance and certification of aircraft is performed to the highest reliability and safety standards. Responsibilities include conducting maintenance in compliance with procedures and managing documentation. The ideal candidate holds a valid Transport Canada AME M2 License and has experience with B757, B767, or B777 aircraft. Hands-on mechanical and electrical work is required, along with excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada AME M2 License (Mandatory).
  • Type rating or hands-on experience with B757, B767, or B777 aircraft.
  • Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME – M or Avionics) to perform maintenance and certification activities at the highest level of reliability and safety. The successful candidate will ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with approved maintenance control manuals, procedures, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform aircraft maintenance in compliance with regulatory and company-approved procedures.
  • Conduct aircraft certification and maintenance release per CAR 571 and maintenance program requirements.
  • Ensure all parts and spares are properly maintained, tagged, and tracked.
  • Complete and certify all necessary maintenance forms, logbooks, and documentation accurately.
  • Identify and report Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) and take a proactive approach to detect potential issues.
  • Perform structural repairs and system inspections on aircraft, including electrical, avionics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine systems.
  • Ensure aircraft and equipment are serviced, inspected, and repaired on time to maintain high dispatch reliability.
  • May direct apprentices or trades helpers as required.
  • Follow all safety and quality standards throughout maintenance operations.
Requirements
