Job summary

Ornge invites applications for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer based at our new Sudbury base in Ontario. This full-time, permanent role supports airframe inspections, repairs, power plant work, and installations. Proximity to Sudbury is required; candidates must live nearby or relocate accordingly.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 license.
• Experience with AW139 or PC12 aircraft is an asset.
• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literate with MS Word, Excel and e-mail.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and travel to the U.S.
• Ability to obtain and retain RCIA clearance as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete aircraft maintenance, support and services.
• Conduct airframe inspections, repairs and modifications.
• Oversee power plant removal and installations/repairs.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Hours of Work :

• Rotating day shift pattern of 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on and 5 days off
• May bee r equired to work various shifts and overtime, including days, weekends, statutory holidays, and on-call in a 24/7 environment.

Skills and Qualifications :

Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

• Must hold a current and valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 license .
• Experience AW139 or PC12 considered an asset.
• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing .
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and e-mail.
• Valid Canadian passport or ability to work in Canada and ability to travel to the U.S.A .
• Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
