The Line Maintenance Coordinator / Maintenance Controller (AME-MC) at Execaire Aviation Canada is a hybrid role combining hands-on line maintenance with maintenance control responsibilities to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance. • Valid Transport Canada AME License (M2).
• 7–10+ years in aviation maintenance.
• Experience in maintenance control for commercial operators.
• Strong line maintenance, MEL/CDL application, and AOG decision making.
• Excellent knowledge of CARs, MCM, MPM and OEM data.
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems (CAMP/Traxxall/AMOS).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance per OEM data, CARs, and manuals.
• Support aircraft rotations, night maintenance, short-notice requests, and AOG situations.
• Certify maintenance tasks and sign release to service for ACA authority work.
• Ensure maintenance actions are properly documented, traceable, and compliant with records.
• Exercise authority to ground an aircraft when safety or airworthiness is compromised.
• Manage MEL/CDL deferrals, including procedures, placarding, and tracking.
• Act as primary MOC contact for flight crew, OCC, and maintenance ops.

Summary

The Line Maintenance Coordinator / Maintenance Controller (AME-MC) is a hybrid, operational and technical role, combining hands-on line maintenance tasks and certification authority, with delegated maintenance control responsibilities.

This role ensures the continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability of departures by executing and certifying maintenance activities, coordinating internal and external work, and exercising maintenance control authority in accordance with the approved Maintenance Control System.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance in accordance with OEM data, CARs, and company manuals
• Support aircraft rotations, night maintenance, short-notice operational requests, and AOG situations
• Certify maintenance tasks and sign release to service for work performed or supervised under ACA authority
• Ensure all maintenance actions are properly documented, traceable, and compliant with technical records requirements
• Exercise the authority to ground an aircraft when safety or airworthiness is compromised
• Apply and manage MEL/CDL deferrals, including M procedures, placarding, operational limitations, and rectification tracking
• Act as the primary maintenance control point of contact for the flight crew, Operations Control Center (OCC), and maintenance operations

Requirements

• Valid Transport Canada AME License (M2)
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in aviation maintenance
• Prior experience in commercial air operator maintenance control or fleet coordination
• Strong background in line maintenance, defect evaluation, MEL/CDL application, and AOG decision-making
• Excellent knowledge of CARs, MCM, MPM, and OEM technical data
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Traxxall, AMOS or equivalent)
