Job summary

Air Transat in Quebec is seeking an avionics maintenance technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain aircraft electronics to keep the fleet airworthy.

The role requires a TC-approved avionics diploma, two years of maintenance experience, and bilingual English/French; RAIC eligibility is also stated. This is a Quebec-based position with opportunities to work on A330/A320 family aircraft.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in avionics from a Transport Canada approved training organization (ATO).
  • Two (2) years of aircraft maintenance experience is required.
  • Essential bilingualism (English and French).
  • Ability to acquire a RAIC and a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain aircraft electronic systems in order to maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition,
  • Ensure that maintenance and repairs comply with Department of Transport standards,
  • Ensure that maintenance and repairs comply with company guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in avionics from a Transport Canada approved training organization (ATO) with practical credits,
  • Experience on A330 and/or A320 family is an asset,
  • Two (2) years of aircraft maintenance experience,
  • Ability to acquire a RAIC and a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC),
  • Team spirit, initiative, autonomy.
  • Working in the fuel tank will be a mandatory requirement upon completion of confined space training,
  • Ability to work at height following appropriate training, required,
  • Essential bilingualism (English and French)

*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
