Chosen candidates will have the chance to learn and develop their competencies and build great careers.JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for interpreting data , producing insights, creating relevant collateral/ data visualization reports, and recommending actions on complex issues to support business needs. You will perform a variety of activities, which may include:Perform Python/SQL data queries and support data sets for analysis/modelling, including cleaning data and feature engineeringAnalyze large, spatially enabled data sets and identify trends and insights to inform business decisions; communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiencesSupport team members and business partners to develop, test and deploy analytics solutions, for example: forecasting, optimization, or modelsProactively identify and solve for business problems and opportunities where a data-driven solution would be appropriate and develop proposals / approachesCollaborate with business partners to support the business case development process for analytics solutionsJOB REQUIREMENTSCurrently enrolled in either a recognized undergraduate or graduate degree majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics, Business/Commerce or related field with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work termStrong statistical and analytical skills and interest are necessary.Strong proficiency in one or more of Python, SQL, or other data-related programming languages.Knowledge in one or more Azure, R, AWS, Databricks and Github is a plusKnowledge in Tableau and/or PowerBIExcellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis position is a 4-month work term and will commence January 4 – April 23 , 202 7 .Applications must include a transcript, cover letter (one letter-sized page or less) and a resume (maximum of 2 pages).We welcome all applications; however, we will only contact qualified candidates chosen for an interview.
