Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid — 3 days/week in office)
Engagement: Contract, 3 months (potential extension to 6 months and beyond)
Business Area:Wealth Management – Growth Office / AI Business Strategy & Architecture
About the Role
Our clients Wealth Management's Growth Office is looking for a hands-on AI Solutions Lead to join the AI Business Strategy & Architecture team. This is a hybrid developer/solution architect role — not a pure developer, architect, trainer, or support position — for someone who can design, prototype, validate, and troubleshoot AI solutions while moving comfortably between business conversations and technical implementation.
The team operates across three pillars: AI Business Strategy, AI Architecture/Solution Delivery, and AI Sustainment/Adoption. This group has already rolled out Microsoft 365 Copilot to approximately 6,000 users, and this role sits close to that deployment — building the next generation of agent-based solutions on top of it while providing advanced technical support as usage matures beyond basic Copilot adoption.
What You'll Do
- Design, prototype, and build AI solutions, agents, and automations that support Wealth business priorities
- Translate business use cases into practical technical designs and proof‑of‑concepts/pilots
- Test, validate, troubleshoot, and refine solutions through to a controlled handoff
- Support technical feasibility assessments and architecture decisions
- Help transition successful solutions to enterprise engineering, platform, or production teams
- Develop reusable technical patterns, playbooks, documentation, and knowledge‑transfer materials
- Provide advanced technical support for Copilot and AI use cases that go beyond basic user education — diagnosing whether an issue is training‑related, access/configuration‑related, a product limitation, a technical defect, a governance issue, or something requiring escalation
- Participate in technical labs, AMA sessions, and demos, and contribute troubleshooting scenarios and lab content
- Feed technical learnings back into FAQs, playbooks, and training material
- Build an agent or technical solution where a recurring user need warrants one
What You Won't Own
- Long‑term production ownership of applications or AI platforms
- Enterprise tenant/platform or licensing administration
- Formal Help Desk incident ownership or the general support mailbox
- Security, privacy, risk, DLP, or architecture approvals
- Production infrastructure/monitoring
What We're Looking For
- Hands‑on experience building and prototyping AI solutions, agents, and automations
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, ideally with Copilot Studio experience — Copilot Studio is an increasing priority as the organization expands into agent creation
- Experience with Agent Builder, Power Platform, and Power Automate
- Familiarity with Microsoft AI capabilities such as Researcher and Analyst
- Solid understanding of APIs, connectors, integrations, and enterprise data dependencies
- Solution architecture capabilities, with the judgment to move between prototyping and higher‑level design decisions
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving skills
- Comfort contributing to labs, demonstrations, enablement, and knowledge transfer
- Ability to work across business, architecture, engineering, platform, security, and support stakeholders
- AWS, Amazon Bedrock and/or GCP experience is a plus — the broader engineering environment includes significant AWS development and some GCP, so this experience helps with cross‑team collaboration and extending deliverables beyond the Microsoft stack
