Job summary

Semios Group is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data systems that transform raw data into trusted, analysis-ready datasets. You will collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to optimize pipelines, integrate diverse sources, and power AI-ready data foundations for agriculture.

You will work on multi-cloud infrastructure, ingestion pipelines, and data tools for analytics teams, turning complex data into actionable insights and scalable products.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Advanced SQL skills with low-latency queries.
• Experience with at least one Data Warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and relational DBs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines at scale.
• Hands‑on cloud experience with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run) and AWS.
• Familiarity with workflow tools like Prefect or Dagster.
• Proficiency in Python, Node, or similar languages.
• Experience integrating AI assistants into development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build cloud-based data systems and interfaces.
• Develop scalable infrastructure to process, store data, and automate models.
• Create data pipelines for multi-cloud environments and AI-ready datasets.
• Build reliable, monitorable data systems and data processes.
• Create tools for analytics and data science teams to enhance products.
• Model large, complex datasets meeting business requirements.
• Optimize pipeline performance and cost (partitioning, clustering, refactoring).
• Document data structures and Data APIs across products.
• Ingest data from third-party and partner APIs.
