Fellow Insights Inc. is seeking a full-stack Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build the core Fellow experience.

You will work across the stack, from APIs and data models to polished product experiences, owning features from early idea through production and iteration. This AI-native role leverages Claude Code and Cursor, and you will push beyond standard workflows to ship high-quality production code while collaborating closely with Product and Design in a remote-first

Qualifications

• Professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software.
• Experience with modern web technologies; stack includes React, TypeScript, Django, Python, GraphQL, Relay.
• Track record of owning features or projects beyond implementation (design, rollout, monitoring).
• Strong product judgment and ability to solve real user problems.
• Comfort with ambiguity and proactive ownership.
• Experience with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) or building agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product features end-to-end across the stack (React, TS, Django, Python, GraphQL).
• Own meaningful product areas from problem understanding to rollout and iteration.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to create simple, polished experiences.
• Write tests, review code, and maintain performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Investigate real-world issues, root-cause analysis, and durable improvements.
• Contribute to technical plans and break work into practical pieces.
• Utilize AI coding agents in daily workflow and develop new prompts/workflows.
• Engage in code reviews and engineering best practices.
