Job summary

Huawei Canada’s Central Media Technology Institute seeks an Intern Engineer for a four-month internship, focusing on advanced research in AI-driven VFX generation and procedural graphics. You will work with a skilled R&D team to explore breaks in photography, audio, video, CG, XR, and codec standards that support Huawei product leadership.

Ideal candidates have a BS or higher in CS or related fields with ML/DL experience and are proficient in Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, translating research

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in computer science, graphics, or related field.
• Strong background in ML and DL.
• Experience translating research into prototypes.
• Familiarity with VR/AR graphics and VFX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research on VFX generation and procedural Shape/Texture/VFX generation for R&D.
• Transfer research results into real-world Huawei products and features.
• Summarize research findings in papers or patents and share expert opinions.
