Job summary

Accenture is seeking a hands-on AI Full Stack Development Lead to design, build, and deliver cloud-native, AI-enabled solutions. You will guide teams, own delivery outcomes, and work with client and cross-functional stakeholders.

Based in Canada, you will be embedded in an agent onboarding pod, reporting to the Pod Lead, and collaborating with platform architects on Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Gemini API, and ADK to deliver high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

You Are

You are a hands-on AI Full Stack Development Lead with strong experience leading the design and delivery of modern, cloud-native and AI-enabled solutions. You bring deep technical expertise across frontend and backend development, distributed systems, GCP, and AI-enabled application development - along with the leadership skills to guide teams and own complex delivery outcomes.

You lead application workstreams from solution design through build, deployment, and production support. You remain hands-on when required while setting technical direction, managing delivery risks, reviewing technical outputs, mentoring team members, and partnering with client and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions.

You are comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced delivery environment - you take initiative, drive your own workstreams forward, and do not need to be managed task by task.

You will be embedded within a dedicated Agent Onboarding Pod, working as part of a broader Accenture delivery team on one of Canada’s largest enterprise AI programmers. The pod operates autonomously, delivering end-to-end agent use cases for a major client in the transportation sector. You will report to the Pod Lead and work closely with both Accenture platform architects and client development teams on a daily basis.

The Work

As a member of Accenture's Software Development and Application Development practices, you will lead the design, build, and delivery of scalable, high-quality applications and AI-enabled solutions for clients across industries. Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver Full Stack and AI-enabled application features across frontend, backend, APIs, integration, and cloud deployment - working autonomously within an agile pod.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performing RESTful APIs and backend integration patterns using Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Contribute to frontend development activities as required, including UI integration, API consumption, and defect resolution using React or Angular.
• Develop and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using cloud-native design principles including Vertex AI, Gemini API, and Cloud Run.
• Design and deliver AI-enabled application features including LLM integration, RAG pipelines, agent orchestration, prompt and context design, and evaluation frameworks - working with Google's Gemini API, Vertex AI, and Agent Development Kit (ADK).
• Work with containerized applications and Kubernetes for deployment, configuration, and runtime operations.
• Contribute to solution and cloud architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, resiliency, performance, security, and alignment with client requirements.
• Build, maintain, and enhance Azure DevOps (ADO) CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with client stakeholders, product owners, architects, DevOps, and QA teams to clarify requirements, resolve technical issues, communicate progress, and ensure reliable releases.
• Apply and uphold development standards for code quality, security, testing, observability, and documentation - including AI tooling fluency, prompt design best practices, and evaluation-driven development as part of daily delivery practice.
• Participate in production incident resolution, root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, contribute to estimates and milestone planning, and support a collaborative, outcome-driven team culture.

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in application or software development, including experience leading technical teams, delivery workstreams, or complex client-facing initiatives.
• Strong hands-on Full Stack development experience using React or Angular for frontend and Node.js, Python, or Java for backend services and microservices-based application design.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and backend integration patterns.
• Solid understanding of application performance, scalability, and security.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Vertex AI, Gemini API, and Cloud Run.
• Hands-on AI and machine learning experience, including working with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or specification-driven development.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into full stack applications, including connecting AI services or model APIs with frontend and backend components.
• Demonstrated ability to transition from traditional Full Stack development into AI-enabled application development is highly valued.
• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end technical solutions, contributing to code and design reviews, and communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, including deployments and runtime concepts.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including source control, work items, and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• English is required for this position as this role will be aligned to multi-national teams where English is the common language across our North America Market. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking multi-national teams, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

• Hands-on experience with Google ADK, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or multi-agent orchestration patterns (e.g. LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen) - or LLM evaluation frameworks such as LLM-as-judge, golden dataset design, and precision/recall scoring.
• Experience with BigQuery, Cloud SQL, or Databricks for data access and integration in AI-enabled applications.
• Experience with Firebase, Firestore, or Cloud Functions.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Dynatrace, SIEM, logging, and alerting platforms).
• Experience supporting production environments and operational readiness activities.
• Familiarity with SRE or reliability-focused practices.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or contributing to DevOps transformations.
• Experience leading and mentoring software development teams, supporting performance and capability development, and coordinating work across onshore and offshore delivery teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced agile delivery environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
