Job summary

RBC is seeking an AI Engineer to join the AI & Digital Innovation team within RBC Capital Markets. You will develop desk-facing AI capabilities, translate business needs into quantitative opportunities, and deploy predictive analytics for electronic trading and pricing at scale.

You will design scalable data processing and collaborate with stakeholders across Canada and beyond to deliver practical AI solutions that drive real business value for Sales & Trading teams.

Qualifications

• A post-secondary degree in Physics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2 to 5 years of experience building Deep Learning or Machine Learning models in production environments.
• A demonstrated record of shipping non-trivial systems that real users depend on, with initiative and end-to-end ownership.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with applied AI and Generative AI frameworks and architectures.
• Experience with quantitative analysis and setting up computation at scale for heavy data work.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing.
• Interest in applying and developing new technologies to prioritize the goal of creating business outcomes
• Understanding ofSales & Trading workflows within Capital Markets

Responsibilities

• Design and implement computation at scale for heavy data work, making quantitative analysis practical, repeatable, and reliable while supporting solutions that can operate effectively in production environments.
• Deliver applied AI solutions end to end through evaluation, production readiness, and adoption, shortening the path from an identified opportunity to a capability that real users can rely on in their day-to-day work.
• Learn from real user feedback and improve delivered capabilities after they are in use, with an emphasis on responding to observed needs, strengthening reliability, and increasing practical value for Sales & Trading stakeholders.
• In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.
