Job summary

BrokerLink is seeking an AI Developer II to join our growing team in Toronto. You will design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, workflows, and services, using Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG.

Create reusable AI components and integrations across multiple business use cases. Lead with prompt engineering and human-in-the-loop patterns, transform data for AI solutions, and partner with business teams to automate processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software, automation, integration, or AI-enabled solutions.
• Hands-on experience building applications or workflows using modern development frameworks, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience with translating business problems into technical solutions.
• Experience with testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience with REST APIs, integration development, data transformation, and service-based architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps).
• Experience with Azure services (Azure AI, OpenAI, Functions, Logic Apps).
• Understanding of generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, semantic search.
• Experience with Databricks AI Tools (Agent Bricks, GenieAI, MosaicAI).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, testing, and release management.

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Development: design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered apps and workflows.
• Develop with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and intelligent document processing.

• Implement prompt engineering, orchestration, agent-style workflows, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Prepare, transform, and manage structured and unstructured data for AI solutions.
• Automation & Process Improvement: partner with business teams to automate processes.
• Develop intelligent workflow solutions using Power Platform, Copilot, Azure AI, APIs, scripts.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, pilots, and production solutions.
• Define and track business value measures (time saved, volume, quality, adoption, efficiency).

Salary range (but not limited to): 94,200 - 115,200

Incentive plan Annual bonus: 10% target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to 200% (subject to personal and company performance) As part of our commitment to Win As A Team, we share our success with employees through our incentive programs and Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) – with BrokerLink matching a portion of your contributions. Our Group RRSP, with company matching DPSP offerings provide flexibility and long-term security for our employees beyond their careers. Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

What you’ll do here

• AI Solution Development Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, services, and workflow solutions.
• Develop solutions using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent document processing, and conversational AI.
• Create reusable AI components, patterns, prompts, integrations, and accelerators that can be applied across multiple business use cases.
• Implement prompt engineering, orchestration logic, agent-style workflows, and human-in-the-loop review patterns where appropriate.
• Prepare, transform, and manage structured and unstructured data used by AI-enabled solutions.
• Automation & Process Improvement Partner with business teams to identify manual, repetitive, or high-friction processes that can be improved through automation or AI.
• Develop intelligent workflow solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI services, APIs, scripts, and custom applications.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical designs, prototypes, pilots, and production-ready solutions.
• Define and track business value measures such as time saved, volume processed, quality improvement, adoption, and operational efficiency.

What you bring to the table

• 5+ years of experience developing software, automation, integration, or AI-enabled solutions.
• Hands‑on experience building applications or workflows using modern development frameworks, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to convert operational problems into technical solutions.
• Experience supporting solutions through testing, deployment, operational support, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with REST APIs, integration development, data transformation, and service‑based architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and/or Power Apps.
• Experience with Azure services such as Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or related cloud capabilities.
• Understanding of generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, semantic search, and AI orchestration concepts.
• Experience with Databricks AI Tools (Agent Bricks, GenieAI, MosaicAI).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, testing approaches, and release management.
