The role follows a hybrid model with in-office presence three days per week.### How you will make an impact:* Design and develop automation solutions and workflows using Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform tools to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.* Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, and AI-driven transformation.* Build lightweight applications, dashboards, and scripts to enable operational reporting, insights, and decision-making.* Translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.* Apply data analysis and automation concepts to enhance service delivery performance.### The must haves:* **Education:** Completion of a 3rd- or 4th-year undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with an operations focus, or enrollment in a Master's degree in one of these areas.* **Experience:** Application of programming or scripting languages through coursework or prior work experience.* Foundational knowledge of process improvement, data analysis, and automation concepts.* Demonstrated logical thinking with a structured, process-oriented approach to problem solving.### Nice to haves:* Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar AI and automation tools.* Background in process improvement, workflow automation, or operations-focused initiatives through coursework or prior work experience.* Ability to communicate technical solutions in a way that aligns with business outcomes.### Pay Range:The hourly pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
