Job summary

Magnet Forensics seeks an AI & Automation Engineer to apply AI and automation to Business Systems processes, reducing manual effort and increasing throughput. You will identify opportunities across Business Applications, Data & Analytics, and IT, then design and deploy AI-enabled workflows with enterprise platforms and APIs.

You will develop test plans, ensure reliable operations, and produce handoff documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years designing, building, deploying automation or integration solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Experience delivering solutions that measurably reduced manual effort, cycle time, or request volume.
• Experience across multiple business functions or technical teams, not just a single system.
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms (Power Automate, Zapier, Workato).
• Experience integrating systems using APIs, webhooks, and structured data exchange.
• Proficient in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, PowerShell, JS/TS, C#, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Identify high-volume, repetitive processes suitable for automation or AI enablement.
• Document current-state workflows including inputs, decisions, exceptions, systems, effort, risks.
• Assess feasibility, complexity, expected benefit, and risk; advise on proceeding, deferring, or changing processes.
• Recommend approach per use case: automation, integration, AI-enabled reasoning, or mix.
• Design, implement, and integrate automation solutions across platforms and AI services.
• Develop and execute test plans for functional accuracy and edge cases.
• Deploy solutions following change management practices and validate outcomes.
• Provide complete handoff docs and dependencies for support.
• Deliver knowledge transfer to owning team for ongoing maintenance.
• Report progress and benefits to VP and team leaders.
• Stay updated on AI capabilities and advise on new tools or approaches.
