WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

If you enjoy a non-stop day and are interested in agriculture, then we can’t wait to talk to you! We are looking for an Operations Supervisor who can balance the supervision of staff with coordinating operations at a branch, as well as be ready to jump on a forklift or bobcat when needed.

  • Supervising operational staff, including scheduling and regular coaching.
  • Coordinating operations at the location, including shipping and receiving products and services, delivering and manufacturing crop protection and nutrition products.
  • Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance and/or security of equipment and machinery.
  • Maintaining the overall appearance of the inside and outside of the premises in a professional and organized manner to promote and enhance the image of the Company.
  • Performing operational tasks along with staff, such as loading and unloading, operating plant equipment, mixing and delivering crop inputs/fertilizer.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Normally requires a high school diploma.
  • Leadership and team building skills.
  • Ability to work with office computer programs, such as inventory systems, electronic mail, internet/intranet.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills to handle customer inquiries, operational issues, and supervise staff.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (preferably class DZ), a driving abstract that represents a history of safe operation, as well as the ability to maintain insurability.
  • A current Ag Exterminator License, and/or Nutrient Technician License is a definite asset.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Agriculture experience is an asset.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, during peak seasons.
  • Indoor/Outdoor working conditions with some lifting and climbing requirements.
