Responsibilities

Applies specialized knowledge of project/program/initiative delivery methods (including Agile and waterfall) to create high quality, predictable, transparent, and sustainable outcomes for the team(s) and project(s), program(s) and initiative(s) supported. Collaborates across teams and stakeholders to remove obstacles that impact the effective functioning of teams and the program. Continuously improves and updates the planning and control approaches for communication, change, risk and financial aspects of the team delivery and release management processes.

  • Facilitates key activities including Discovery, Story Mapping and Agile ceremonies.
  • Manages and coaches approaches to scope/time pressures.
  • Coaches the Product Owner (PO) in business value prioritization of work.
  • Coaches the team in effort and complexity estimation of work.
  • Facilitates planning/refining activities.
  • Develops the team to a high performing, self-organizing state using data driven coaching.
  • Keeps the team accountable to a Continuous Improvement Plan.
  • Shares expertise and knowledge of Agile Standard Practices (ASP), Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC), Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and helps maintain a record of artifacts.
  • Supports the solution architecture (SA) review and approvals process.
  • Supports the engagement and coordination of extended teams and vendor engagements.
  • Gathers estimates and maintains financial information in Clarity.
  • Monitors and tracks team performance using Agile metrics.
  • Maintains JIRA as book of record for tracking dependencies and delivery progress.
  • Gathers and formats status, risks and issues data into reports and dashboards; Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues. Ensures the initiative’s deliverables are coordinated for pre-release and release into production per mandatory operational readiness (MOR) process requirements.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
  • Implements changes in response to shifting trends.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $86,000.00 - $160,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
