Responsibilities
  • Provide taxation support to clients via telephone and email for various tax software products
  • Utilize active listening skills to manage and diffuse customer interactions
  • Apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine customer issues
  • Log customer orders for product purchases and participate in software quality control testing
  • Identify recurrent client issues and communicate findings to the supervisor
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in customer service
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of income tax and experience in customer service
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
  • University degree in taxation, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Graduate of H&R Block tax course
  • Familiarity with corporate income tax (T2/CO-17) and/or trust (T3/TP-646)
  • Interest in taxation and understanding of the accounting cycle
