Job summary

Richter is a Business | Family Office providing strategic advice across generations. The Collections Officer role supports receivables, collaborates with the team, and maintains strong client relationships in a hybrid Montreal environment.

We value confidentiality, analytical skill, and initiative; DEC in Accounting and 3–5 years of experience are required, with fluency in French and English. Compensation ranges from CAD 54k to 82k with bonus potential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collection of overdue accounts via phone and email.
  • Work closely with partners and the Collection team.
  • Maintain relationships with clients while pursuing timely payments.
  • Generate reports and data related to collection and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities
  • Collection of overdue accounts (calling clients, emails, account statements).
  • Works closely with partners and the Collection team.
  • Maintains good relationships with clients.
  • Ensures receivables are collected in the shortest delay possible.
  • Generates reports and data related to collection and accounts receivable.
Requirements
  • DEC in Accounting
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in collection
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in contacting important clients
  • Capable of working independently and negotiating efficiently
  • Good judgment and ability to act with professionalism
  • Great sense of confidentiality
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

The salary range for this position is $54,000 to $82,000. Employees may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Compensation is determined in accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation and is regularly reviewed to remain competitive in the marketplace. Salaries within this range reflect individual contributions and are based on objective factors such as internal equity, experience, education, role scope, and required skills.
