Job summary

UPS Canada is hiring a Part-time Local Sorter for the Fraser Valley Package Facility in Delta, BC. The role involves unloading and loading packages from trailers and conveyors, with shifts from 5:30PM to 9:30PM, Monday to Friday, at 790 Belgrave Way, Delta BC.

Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with weekly pay, tuition reimbursement up to $1000 per semester, guaranteed wage progression, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Available to work Monday to Friday.
• Follow safety and standard procedures.
• Able to lift packages up to 70 lbs unassisted.
• Warehouse environment experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load packages off and on trailers, air canisters, and other vehicles.
• Scan and sort packages by postal codes, addresses and dimensions.
• Move and stack packages safely in the warehouse near conveyors.

Job Description:

UPS is currently looking for Part-time Local Sorters to work from our Fraser Valley Package Facility

• Position Title: Local Sorters
• Position Type: Permanent Part-time
• Work Hours: 5:30PM – 9:30PM*
• Workdays: Monday to Friday*
• Location: 790 Belgrave Way, Delta BC

*Shift schedules may vary based on operational requirements

Local Sorters are responsible for unloading and loading packages off and on trailers, air canisters, and other vehicles. Other responsibilities may include:

• Lifting, lowering, and moving of packages weighing between 10 to 70lbs.
• Handling packages weighing up to 150lbs.
• Scanning and sorting packages based on postal codes, addresses, package dimensions
• Understanding and recognizing postal codes, routing charts and maps
• Standing closely with conveyor, roller belts and other equipment in the warehouse
• Washing package cars to ensure cleanliness

Qualifications

• Available to work Monday to Friday*
• Ability to follow set of safety and standard procedures
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment
• Able to regularly and safely lift packages up to 70-lbs unassisted
• Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required.
