Job summary

Connect Tech Inc. is seeking a Cable Assembler for the Afternoon Shift in Guelph, Ontario. You will assemble electronics cables, strip and cut wire, crimp, insert, solder, and test assemblies.

A strong eye for detail and quality is essential in our fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in cable and harness assembly, experience with hand tools and crimping equipment, and the ability to read diagrams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with cable and harness assembly.
• Experience with wire stripping, crimping, cable and harness assembly.
• Experience with automated and manual equipment, hand tools, power tools, jigs and saws.
• High school diploma completed.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed written instructions, drawings & specifications for hands-on fabrication and production assembly of electronic cables and wire harnesses.
• Measure cables to specified length for cutting.
• Wrap casing around different types of wires.
• Hand and machine crimp terminals and insert terminals into connectors.
• Achieve and adhere to a high level of quality of work produced.
• Perform quality testing on electronic circuit boards as required.
