Job summary

A major media company is seeking an Afternoon Announcer for 104.3 The Fox, a fully remote position based near Sault Ste. Marie. The successful candidate will host a weekday afternoon show, prepare engaging content, and actively represent the brand online and in the community. Qualifications

  • Proven on-air experience in Radio.
  • Ability to work as a part of an established team and independently.
  • Passion for engaging with the rock audience in person/phone/social media.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in all settings.
  • A genuine, authentic personality that cares about audience and team members.
  • Familiarity with relevant software is an asset.
  • A valid G license.

Responsibilities

  • Act as community champion for the brand.
  • Create audience engagement via phones and socials.
  • Voice-track or cover other shifts.
  • Work on audio projects including podcasts.

Afternoon Announcer - 104.3 The Fox

Please note: This Announcer role with 104.3 The Fox is a fully remote position, however, the successful candidate must be based in or near Sault Ste. Marie. While the day-to-day responsibilities will be performed remotely, there will be periodic requirements to attend remotes, offsite events, and promotional appearances representing the station in the local community.

What you'll do:

  • Host our weekday afternoon show
  • Prepare on-brand, entertaining and demographic appropriate content for on-air and online
  • Actively contribute to the 104.3 The Fox socials as the face and star of the brand online
  • Be a community champion proudly representing our brand both on the air and through in-person appearances (when appropriate)
  • Create fun and unique audience engagement using the phones and socials
  • Voice-track or cover other shifts as necessary
  • Work on audio projects that may include hosting, contributing and participating in original podcasts
  • Perform commercial narration for production purposes as required
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring:

  • Proven on-air experience in Radio
  • Ability to work as a part of an established team, and independently
  • Passion for engaging with the rock audience (in person/phone/social media, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in all settings
  • A genuine, authentic personality who cares about their audience and their team members. A positive attitude with a sense of humour will go far!
  • Familiarity with WideOrbit, MusicMaster CS, VOXPRO and Adobe Audio an asset
  • A valid G license
