Job summary

YMCA HBB is seeking an Early Learning Facilitator to run before and after school programs in the Hamilton, Burlington, and Brantford regions. You will design activities for children aged 4–12, ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards, and mentor staff to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires knowledge of CCEYA, MOE guidelines, and strong English communication. The position involves a split shift and potential travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Membership in CECE or OCT or related diploma/degree in child care or recreation.
• Minimum 2 years of paid work in a licensed child care setting.
• Strong English communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities for children aged 4–12 to meet developmental needs.
• Ensure health, safety and adherence to CCEYA and MOE guidelines.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with school personnel and parents.
• Prepare required documentation of children’s development and activities.
• Support snack times, bathroom routines and on-site setup.
