Qualifications

  • Experience (minimum 2 years) in caretaker work in a non-medical research environment.
  • Some experience in the care and handling of live animals.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct after-hours rounds and monitor building systems and live animal facilities.
  • Operate and report on the building information system and laboratory equipment during shifts.
  • Identify and report issues likely to cause flooding, damage, or loss of animals or equipment; coordinate with on-call staff as needed.
  • Assist with access control after hours and communicate with Principal Investigators and Facilities Management as required.
