Job summary

Great River Technology in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Hardware Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to design, develop, and verify high-performance digital hardware and FPGA architectures for aerospace applications.

You will implement ARINC 818 interfaces, work on VHDL for FPGAs, and collaborate with Systems, Software, and Manufacturing teams to ensure robust hardware solutions. The role is 100% onsite at GRT and requires strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer/aerospace engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional hardware design experience.
  • Experience with ARINC 818 or other video standards is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FPGA development workflows and timing closure.
  • Familiarity with DO-254 and DO-160 certification processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ARINC 818 interfaces and high-speed links.
  • Develop VHDL code for FPGAs and verify designs.
  • Contribute to the hardware development lifecycle from schematic to verification.
  • Assist in airworthiness documentation and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Manufacturing teams.
