Job summary

Gestal Amérique du Nord is seeking a QA Inspector to ensure product conformity to procedures and quality standards. You will perform FAI, program and operate CMMs, and use Laser Tracker or 3D scanners to verify measurements in a aerospace context. Strong GD&T and CATIA skills are required, along with AS9100 knowledge.

Fluent French is essential; work in a dynamic team in Mirabel, Quebec. The role emphasizes precision, safety, and continuous improvement in a demanding production environment.

Qualifications

• Master blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Master basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial bore, column micrometers).
• Know technical specifications in the aeronautical field.
• Know the AS9100 standard.
• Knowledge of inspection by Laser Tracker and/or 3D scanner.
• Mastery of programming and inspection on a CMM Coordinate Measuring Machine.
• Knowledge of CATIA v5.
• Good vision and color perception.
• Good manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the conformity of products with established procedures and quality standards;
• Ensure the integration of quality records (FAI, certificates, non-conformance reports, etc.);
• Perform first article inspection (FAI);
• Program a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine);
• Perform measurement using a CMM, Laser Tracker, or 3D scanner;
• Process non-conformances;
• Identify problems affecting production or product quality and apply solutions;
• Contribute to process optimization to improve costs, quality, and delivery times;
• Transmit progress and hand over instructions to colleagues;
• Guarantee objectives and compliance with productivity/quality procedures;
• Maintain equipment and keep workstation clean;
• Maintain internal and external deliverables per quality system;
• Work in line with company ethics;
• Follow safety rules and quality policies;
• Collaborate in a changing environment and team;
