This role will be responsible for actively supporting execution of the organization’s insurance strategy and delivering centralized insurance risk management services to Enbridge. Leveraging technical insurance knowledge and experience, risk quantification, financial modelling skills, communications and problem-solving skills, you will carry out and continuously improve insurance team operations for Enbridge.

What You Will Do
Strategy, Standards and Processes
  • Support insurance strategy development and implementation.
  • Bring broad organizational awareness to the company's insurance strategy through extensive stakeholder outreach and education.
  • Collaboratively work with stakeholder groups to embed insurance processes into major business processes.
Procurement & Management
  • Support execution of enterprise insurance strategy through quantitative analysis of cost/benefit and financial modelling.
  • Lead and execute development of assigned components of enterprise insurance renewal submission on an annual basis.
  • Lead designated program renewal negotiations for optimal insurance terms with insurers and brokers.
  • Independently manage insurance procurement administration, including information gathering and review, submission, receipt and review of technical insurance documentation, invoice payments, and records management.
  • Financial reporting for designated accountabilities regarding insurance cost, including budgeting and forecasting.
Advisory
  • Lead and perform complex insurance contract reviews, complex construction insurance placement and associated decision support processes.
  • Support the integration of ACRE – the artificial intelligence system for automation of simple–moderate insurance contract reviews – into day-to-day team operations.
Claims
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support claims handling activities, and improve procurement processes through feedback loop.
  • Support and participate in emergency claims response activities, deployments and recoveries as required.
Culture & Environment
  • Proactively identify potential issues with process, advisory, stakeholder education or other matters and pre-emptively address by leveraging communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Be an expert in existing processes and proactively seek out newer and more efficient ways to deliver value-added services to stakeholders.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion in the implementation of the Team Operating Model.
Who You Are
  • Post‑secondary education, preferably in Insurance Risk Management, Business, Law, or Actuarial Science with four (4) or more years of related experience in insurance, claims management, actuarial or statistical roles.
  • Extensive working knowledge of insurance policy language, industry standards, risk management practices and principles, contract and civil law, insurance program design and implementation and insurance contract wording.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written communication, negotiating and claims resolution, independent planning and time management abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage large, multi‑faceted projects that may vary in nature and scope and predictability.
  • Ability to be innovative and see the broader picture in the approach of risk management issues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of applications.
Preferred
  • Preferred insurance designation (CIP, FCIP, CRM, ARM or equivalent).
Working Conditions
  • Typical Office Environment with business travel (global) 5% - 30% (circumstance‑dependent).
  • As requested and required, visits at field locations in support of insurance risk assessment processes or emergency response deployment.
