Job summary

BMO is seeking a SmartFolio advisor to work remotely from home in Canada. You will focus on delivering sound investment advice, building client trust, and aligning recommendations with client goals.

The role emphasizes inbound calls, onboarding, portfolio reviews and service requests within a supportive, equity-driven environment. Ideal candidates have IR licensing, 4+ years in wealth management, strong communication skills and bilingual proficiency in English and French.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience or a post-second degree/diploma.
• Completed core proficiency components for IR licensing (CSC/CPH or CIRE).
• Familiarity with wealth management strategies and their strengths/weaknesses.
• Excellent communication, time management and listening skills.
• Strong verbal and written English and French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in inbound calls and determine investment needs.
• Provide professional investment advice to help clients meet financial goals.
• Conduct portfolio reviews, onboarding, account access, contributions and withdrawals.
• Support sales and service activities per approved procedures.

Who you are?

You are seeking a role that focuses on delivering sound investment advice, and one that puts the client at the center of every interaction and decision. You love interacting with people and are passionate about helping Canadians invest smarter. You enjoy learning about a client's financial situation, as well as educating and helping people to meet their financial goals.

Responsibilities

Breaking the mold of a traditional contact centre environment, the SmartFolio advisor is responsible to primarily support clients in the inbound call queue. A successful advisor will invoke trust and build strong client relationships, determine individual investment needs and provide professional advice to ensure client’s financial goals are met. Advisors will support clients with various requests such as portfolio reviews, onboarding, account access, contributions, withdrawals etc. Advisors will also be required to fulfills sales and service activities for the customer in accordance with approved procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience, OR A post‑secondary degree or diploma
• Completed the core proficiency components for IR licensing, including: Canadian Securities Course (CSC) Conduct & Practices Handbook Course (CPH) or Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE)
• Familiarity with common wealth management strategies and their relative strengths and weaknesses
• Excellent communication, time management, and listening skills
• Strong verbal and written languages skills in both French and in English preferred.

Salary

$40,500.00 - $80,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
