Position Summary

Provide structure, planning and oversight to lead the Advanced Quality Planning activity in preparation for upcoming builds which are deemed to be high risk. This position has the responsibility to investigate and review all information pertinent to our upcoming line entries and determine/execute actions required prior to line entry to prevent defects. The position will be responsible to oversee the Advanced Quality planning activity and track status through an open issues matrix which is to be regularly reviewed and updated. This position will interface with Customer Program Managers, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and customers to represent the Quality organization during pre‑production meetings. The position is responsible to ensure that New Flyer Testing and Product Quality specifications are reviewed with the customers prior to line entry.

What you will do
  • Investigate and review all the following information in preparation for upcoming builds of high‑risk customers/contracts:
    • Contractual Information
    • MRL and Tech Summary
    • BOM
    • FSARs/ITS and Warranty Performance
    • Test Requirements
    • Acceptance Issues and PDI results and investigations
    • SWAT log
    • NF Inspection data
    • Property Inspection data
    • All other relevant Information
  • Attend virtual bus reviews
  • Lead/support plant cross‑functional team through the Manufacturing Readiness Assessment and develop the open issues matrix by customer
  • Modify NF standard documentation as required to support customer specific requirements:
    • Live bus / Live QA Inspection plan
    • Final Inspection plan
    • Close Up sheet
    • Road test check sheet
    • Customer package information
    • Serial number data collectionToolsnest / CVI Net (Torque Tools)
    • OSVC (Oracle Service Cloud)
    • SEO (Specials orders)
  • Attend pre‑production meeting and present the New Flyer Quality system presentation to the customers
  • Review Testing and Product Quality Standard requirements with customers prior to line entry to resolve outstanding issues/concerns
  • Perform review of contract bids for customer expectations outside of New Flyer’s Quality Systems and complete bid review forms with feedback to CPM on any Approved Equals (AEs)
  • Work with various manufacturing groups to organize and implement recommendations or process/testing changes in order to comply with contractual requirements
  • Customer interface to present proposed Quality Plan, Quality Standards, Paint Standards and Inspector Guidelines during the Pre‑Production meetings with CPM group and provide feedback on any changes required to the various Manufacturing groups in the Organization
  • Support QA Training
