Shared Health-Soins Communs in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide clinical care across various environments such as medical facilities and transport. This role requires critical thinking abilities and collaborative work in a multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must have a valid Manitoba license and significant experience in critical care, emergency, and patient transportation. Employment equity and diversity are core values of Shared Health, supporting applications from underrepresented groups.
Provides current and competent clinical care while treating patients in multiple venues; including but not limited to medical facilities in Manitoba, ground ambulance, ground patient support vehicle, and air ambulance.
Functions in harsh and unusual environmental conditions, including extreme weather and unconventional modes of transportation, ensuring personal and patient safety at all times.
Responsible for the provision of basic and advanced level patient care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal/obstetric patients during interfacility transport, including provincial, regional, and multi‑site.
Responsible for full patient care of patients requiring accompaniment during diagnostic procedures, therapeutic interventions and/or other appointments.
May assume responsibility for and provide care to single or multiple patients during interfacility transport, in accordance with Patient Transport Program protocols.
May be assigned temporary duties when provincial needs arise.
Works collaboratively with EMS, paramedics, dispatch, hospital site staff and flight nurses.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
