Qualifications

• A minimum of one year's recent psychiatric nursing experience with adults.
• Knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Recovery model.
• Knowledge of mental health legislation and consumer rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services including assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and support.
• Develop and maintain clinical services and rehabilitation programs.
• Contribute to monitoring and enhancement of the physical site.

Assessment and planning of mental health treatment programs

Ability to administer psychotropic medications

Interpersonal and crisis intervention skills

Leadership and teaching skills

Non-violent crisis intervention techniques

Education

Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

Current CPR certification
