  • Employment Type: Full Time Ongoing
  • Remuneration: $148012-$157056 depending on experience+ 17% superannuation (Level 9)
  • Location: Kensington UNSW Campus (hybrid)
Why Your Role Matters

The Manager, Admissions Support leads the delivery of efficient, accurate, and compliant admissions processing within the Registrar and Student Services Portfolio.

You’ll oversee onshore and offshore teams responsible for document management, English language verification, eCOE issuance, and other non-assessment tasks. Working closely with the Admissions Operations Managers (Undergraduate and Postgraduate), you’ll ensure alignment between daily operations and broader strategic goals.

Reporting to the Head of Admissions, Scholarships & RPL, you’ll drive continuous improvement, implement change, and uphold high service standards across all admissions processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead onshore and offshore teams to deliver efficient, compliant admissions processing and exceptional service
  • Collaborate with Admissions Operations Managers, Recruitment, and other stakeholders to meet enrolment targets and shared KPIs
  • Ensure all activities comply with TEQSA, ESOS, and HESF standards
  • Oversee workload planning, performance, and training across the admissions cycle
  • Manage complex or escalated cases and provide expert policy and procedural advice
  • Use data and analytics to monitor performance, identify improvements, and inform strategic planning
  • Contribute to policy development, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Represent Admissions at key meetings and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is aligned with UNSW’s vision and values and comes with:

  • In-depth knowledge of admissions policies, procedures, and regulations within Australian higher education
  • Proven experience leading teams in admissions, enrolments, or related higher education operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and deliver results under pressure
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and planning
  • Solid understanding of admissions management software and student information systems
  • Proven ability to lead and embed change in a complex work environment

The successful person will be required to work over the Christmas shutdown and occasionally be available after hours or during weekends. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed at interview time.

Candidates will need to have ongoing working rights – this role is not available for sponsorship.
