Reports to: Assistant Clinical Director

Salary range: $75000+ (commensurate with experience)

This is a unique role that combines community outreach with the responsibility of leading the activity of admitting students and their caregivers into our PRI live in treatment program. Are you interested in working alongside our mission-driven team of passionate professionals?

The ideal candidate will have clinical experience that includes assessment and motivational interviewing. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a working knowledge of youth addictions and mental health therapeutic treatment programming with a proven record in building relationships with clients. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required. This role will represent PRI in the community and will be the first experience with PRI for youth, families/caregivers, and our referring partners.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
  • Ensure PRI’s treatment program is maximized through the creation of a pipeline and the consistent admission of students/families as spaces become available
  • Develop pathways for admissions, including but not limited to Ministry of Health funded beds
  • Identify opportunities to build partnerships with referring agencies and maintain a network of contacts with particular attention to expanding our diversity of PRI clients
  • Oversee the admission process from end to end ensuring clinical consultations and various partners are involved at appropriate times to ensure a smooth and successful entry, including census and bed planning communications
  • Oversee the on-site assessment process for youth and their family/caregiver
  • Prepare comprehensive assessments to facilitate admission decision, in collaboration with Clinical Leadership
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of admission packages and policies
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reporting to various departments
  • Participate in PRI Management team meetings
  • Support initiatives to improve the flow and confidentiality of information exchanges from inquiry to admission
  • Provide leadership and support to the Admissions Coordinator in the oversight of a comprehensive database
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Perform other related duties
Qualifications:
  • Graduate or undergraduate degree in relevant human services field (Social Work, Psychology etc.)
  • Working knowledge of addictions and mental health sector particularly child and youth services, and the supporting legislation
  • Experience in motivation interviewing and navigating conflictual situations
  • Previous experience in assessment and admissions activities, (wait list management)
  • Previous experience working with at risk youth/families/caregivers
  • Previous experience in building partnerships, networking, and outreach will be considered an asset
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Strong report writing skillsStrong understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically excel
