What you’ll accomplish with us as an Administrative Technician – Disability Claims, you’ll be at the core of our mission.
Here are the main responsibilities:
Calculate differences with other sources of benefits (e.g. coordination with CPP/QPP, other plans)
Calculate retroactive salary revisions and adjust files accordingly
Make earnings payments in Long Term Disability Permanent files (Toronto contracts)
Follow up on benefit amounts received (e.g. Service Canada, CPP/QPP) and calculate discrepancies to be paid
Send annual forms for permanent claims, follow up on them, and extend benefits upon receipt

We’re looking for someone who:
Is known for their expertise in complex calculations: benefit discrepancies, salary revisions, reversals.
Stands out for their in-depth knowledge of disability, CPP/QPP, and correction processes.
Demonstrates strong ability to manage permanent disability files and premium waivers.
Is recognized for their advanced knowledge of office automation tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) for follow-up and analysis Competent in drafting clear and professional letters and emails.
Experience handling requests from various groups (e.g. Bell, PSMIP, QPAT).
Has 2-5 years of experience in administrative or finance domain.
Advanced level of English and French, as the position involves participating in calls with insurers in English and French, responding to emails, and drafting documentation in English and French with English- and French-speaking internal partners on a daily basis.
