The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center seeks a Client-Based Researcher I to support data quality control and operations management. This full-time position involves methodology design, data collection, and report preparation, contributing to cancer research and clinical trials. Job Summary:
This position is within the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC), recognized by the National Cancer Institute as a comprehensive cancer center. The Client-Based Researcher I will work in the Circulating Biomarker Core (CBC), led by Dr. Josh Lang. The CBC provides sample processing and analysis services to UWCCC members and the broader research community, focusing on developing and clinically translating biomarkers from circulation to predict or detect therapeutic resistance in patients with solid tumors. The team processes 10-20 patient samples weekly, testing various protein and nucleic acid biomarkers for research and clinical trials. The role primarily involves data quality control, database maintenance under supervision, and supporting operations management, possibly across different cores for integrated sample triage and transport services.

Education:
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in computer or biological sciences.
Qualifications:
Required: Experience in database development, management, and reporting.
Preferred: Experience with microfluidic technologies, fluorescence microscopy, and circulating tumor cell research is desirable but not mandatory.
Work Type:
Full Time (100%). Work is expected to be performed onsite at a designated campus location.

Salary:
Minimum $44,000 annually (12 months), depending on qualifications.
