A major healthcare service provider in Alberta is seeking an Administrative Support VI to coordinate residency training for Family Medicine residents. The successful candidate will support complex procedures and initiatives in a dynamic environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office. This role offers a hybrid work model and is essential to the management of the Residency Program, ensuring effective communication and relationship building with various stakeholders.
This Administrative Support VI position is responsible for all aspects of the coordination of residency training for all Family Medicine residents in this designated (1 of 3) Divisions. The Division Coordinator-Northeast with workplace situated at our Sunridge Family Medicine Teaching Centre resolves resident issues, contributes to the development of policies and procedures, advises the Division Directors and manages day‑to‑day operations of the Residency Program in the Division - all while applying in‑depth knowledge and expertise regarding the Residency Program, University of Calgary Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), Professional Association of Residents of Alberta (PARA), and clinical & program operations in the Division to the management of the Division, including working with other program administrators. This position will be part of Primary Care Alberta effective November 18, 2024. As an Administrative Support VI, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of post‑secondary education (e.g. diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification).
Advanced MS Office Suite, specifically Excel. Exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with various stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to support data management and reporting via use of multiple e‑platforms. Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience in Medical Residency Program administration or related experience in a highly responsible administrator role, preferably in an academic or clinical environment.
