The Staffing Clerk provides staff scheduling support to the Emergency Department and Managers. This position deals with complex, often urgent staff scheduling tasks with short time lines, in a busy, high pressure office. Staffing Clerks liaise with Unit Manager, Charge Nurses, Clinical Nurse Educators, full time, part time, and casual staff to fill staffing needs due to vacation, leave of absences, illness, etc. This position works closely with the other Staffing Clerks in the office.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Currently working in a BAU staffing office environment. Current WFM Scheduler. Recent WFM BAU Training. Experience with AHS Payroll. A high school diploma and experience within a medical/hospital setting is required. Previous recent Staffing Clerk experience required. Completion of some post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant). Knowledge and extensive experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. An ability to work independently with minimal direction is essential. An in-person skill testing exam may be required.
