Day & Ross has an ongoing need to add talented individuals to our LTL/Terminal Operations team! Our Administrative Coordinator’s contribute significantly to our department continued success. Responsibilities
  • Ensure specific freight bill details are captured to plan for Inbound/Outbound freight movement.
  • Entering of dangerous good information to ensure accurate placard requirements.
  • Updating the trip board to signal load is complete, all paperwork is ready and trailer is ready to move.
  • Provide manifest details to P&D drivers via handheld as visibility to load sequence.
  • Ensuring Brokers/Drivers/Cartage have all P&D paperwork/info accounted for when returning to terminal to ensure freight statuses are updated accurately and timely and scan said paperwork to imaging database as required.
  • Create new freight bills for spot and switch trailers.
  • Ensure Brokers/Drivers are asked if they have any refused and/or undelivered freight.
  • Review driver trip details and ensure all assigned and executed work are adequately captured for accurate driver payments.
  • Any additional workload given as specified by manager.

Your Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of high school education
  • Post-secondary education (general stream), or a combination of education and experience an asset
  • Previous Transportation or operational experience is preferred, various roles within transportation would be beneficial. Business Management experience.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills, the ability to evaluate current situation, respond quickly to changing requirements, execute and elevate accordingly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced setting
  • Experience using Truckmate and asset
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment; appropriate sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others to meet customer expectations
