Position Summary

Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self‑directed Administrative Assistant to support the Nursing department.

In accordance with vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health and reporting to the Director / Executive Lead or designate, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative assistance and secretarial support to the Director / Executive Lead or designate and programs / services throughout the applicable Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA) / Region or Corporate Department of Northern Health (NH). Triages information of a sensitive and confidential nature, coordinates the flow of information, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of administrative services, and keeps the Director / Executive lead or designate apprised of issues and activities. Interacts primarily with director / managers and their administrative support staff throughout the HSDA / Region and across NH to professionally represent the Director’s / Executive Lead interests, share information, clarify details and answer questions. Works independently and communicates with internal and external stakeholders / customers in a manner that promotes positive and respectful relationships.

Starting salary will be approximately from $48,476 to $60,594 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24‑bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include :

Qualfications
