Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking a Junior Administrative Assistant in Edmonton. On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is currently searching for a Administrative Assistant - Junior in Edmonton.

Job Description

The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Branch Administrator and assist with key organizational tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Calendar Management

Assist with scheduling and maintaining the Executive Director’s calendar, including coordinating meetings and appointments.

Email Management

Organize and maintain shared email inboxes, including tagging, categorizing, and prioritizing messages for efficient follow-up.

Document & Filing Management

Maintain accurate and organized filing systems (electronic and physical) to ensure easy retrieval of documents.

Administrative Support

Provide general administrative assistance to the Branch Administrator, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Support branch operations by handling additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow.

Mandatory Skills

Minimum of 2–3 years of administrative support experience in a fast-paced professional environment, with demonstrated ability to manage calendars, emails, and documents efficiently.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven ability to maintain accurate filing systems and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and electronic document management systems).

Ability to work onsite full-time in Edmonton, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in accordance with provincial holiday schedules.

  • Successful completion of a standard criminal background check and commitment to completing all mandatory training (FOIP, cybersecurity, information management, respect in the workplace, etc.) once hired.
  • Previous public sector / educational sector working experience is highly desirable.

2025-12-03 to 2026-03-31 with possible extensions.

Work Location

Per worker model below this is an onsite position (Edmonton). Standard hours of work are 8 to 4:30 pm with a 1‑hour lunch break, Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding provincial holidays.
