A healthcare organization in Manitoba seeks an Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources team. The role involves managing administrative activities, maintaining spreadsheets, and effective communication with staff and the public. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and have prior office experience. Successful applicants will contribute to an efficient work environment and require a Criminal Records Check. This position emphasizes equity and encourages Indigenous applicants.
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, supporting the Shared Health Provincial Operations including greeting visitors, handling inquiries and redirecting as appropriate. Duties include: Organizing and prioritizing independently, the administrative activities for the supervisor and HR team and ensuring that all work is completed within established timeframes. Maintaining a variety of spreadsheets. Typing, formatting and proofreading letters, procedures, etc., from handwritten notes or rough draft. Taking initiative to handle matters and solve administrative problems not requiring the direct personal attention of the supervisor(s). Participating as a member of the portfolio in a manner that contributes to teamwork and collaboration.
Required to work for long periods of time at a computer.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
