A criminal law practice in Toronto is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant. Ideal candidates should have excellent organizational skills, be reliable, and be willing to handle various administrative tasks including court document preparation and scheduling. Strong English skills are beneficial, but not required. Open to students and those with a degree in social sciences. Competitive pay based on performance.
Administrative Assistant
Full-Time Administrative Assistant needed for criminal law practice. You are an individual who has excellent organizational skills, is reliable and doesn't require constant oversight. Tasks will include preparation of court documents, research, managing the lawyer's schedule (including booking flights and maintaining lawyer's diary, court dates), coordinating communication between the law practice and accountants, government agencies, other lawyers, advertisers, clients, etc., reviewing case files and producing summaries of cases and collecting accounts receivable from clients. Pay is highly negotiable and will be commensurate with performance and skill set. Strong English skills are a definite benefit but not essential (Please apply even if English is your second language). Looking for someone long term. Office is located in the RBC building at 11th and Hamilton in Regina, SK and hours are negotiable. Knowledge of Microsoft Word etc. needed and the individual hired will be trained to use legal accounting software, PC Law, and perform other administrative tasks.

Also open to hiring someone with no administrative assistant background with a degree in a social sciences subject (political science, sociology, psychology, history etc.) but, again, this is not essential.
