Overview

Our GFL facility in Timmins ON is looking to add an experienced Administrative Assistant to the team! The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the branch with regards to company communications, report preparation, correspondence and the maintenance and organization of files. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input and maintain sales files as required.
  • Facilitate front office duties – ship/receive parcels and mail, maintain voicemail, etc.
  • Support/communicate with Operations Supervisor daily to ensure production expectations are being met.
  • Work with operations to schedule client appointments into the facility and coordinate changes/exceptions and other required notifications.
  • Support scale for lunch breaks, sick time, vacation, etc.
  • Perform general administrative duties and maintain customer records under the supervision of management.
  • Process invoices and purchase orders and assist with general service inquiries.
  • Sort, review, and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, facsimiles, and electronic transmissions. Type memos of correspondence as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative background.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
