Job Opportunity: Administrative Assistant (Health & Safety)
Location: St John's NL
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hourly Rate: $20-$23 hourly

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team in a multi-faceted role that combines administrative support, health & safety coordination, and quality assurance oversight. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with both internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems
  • Code and enter general expense invoices daily
  • Prepare daily bank deposits
  • Provide backup coverage for switchboard operations during breaks
  • Process invoices for materials, freight, and outsourced services
  • File supplier invoices as needed
  • Cross-train with other administrative roles to support departmental coverage
  • Assist with additional administrative projects or tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounts payable or general accounting is a strong asset
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry
  • Strong time management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in computer and office software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, professional, and courteous demeanor

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years of prior office experience
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing business cycle transactions
